Loading the Quarter Circle U Roundup Truck, 1939.
As in earlier years, roundup commenced with loading equipment. By the late 1930's, the old roundup wagon
had been replaced with the roundup truck. The truck is backed up to the bunkhouse. On top of the tall pole made from a tree trunk is the dinner
bell for the mess hall housed at the left end of the bunk house. Through the trees can be
seen a portion of the big house in which some paying dudes would stay. Others would stay in
tent cabins set up in the backyard.

When arriving at the location of the roundup, it was then necessary to set up camp.
